ADK Father Son Weekend

Father–Son Weekend at Deerfoot Lodge Adirondacks is a weekend you won’t want to miss. This memorable experience is designed to help dads connect more deeply with their sons through the power of a shared Deerfoot adventure.

The weekend brings everyone together for classic Deerfoot games, hearty Deerfoot food, and plenty of time around a roaring bonfire to wrap up each day.

There is a wide range of hands-on activities designed to build skills, confidence, and connection. Deerfoot staff will lead activities like archery, campcraft and camping skills, survival skills, rustic handcraft projects, and fishing. The schedule also includes an optional hike up Dug Mountain for those looking to explore the surrounding Adirondack wilderness. Throughout the weekend, Chiefs Ron Mackey and Craig Boronow will lead a Bible study, offering time for reflection and spiritual growth together.

This event is open to fathers and sons ages 8 and up. The registration fee for the weekend will be $130 per person.  Lodging will be bunkhouse-style in cabins located in the Woodsmen section and on Pioneer Point, providing an authentic camp experience. Participants should be prepared for cool Adirondack weather, as nighttime temperatures in September can dip into the 30s. While Deerfoot staff will host games and activities, they will not be available to provide childcare or supervision outside of the scheduled programming.
