Age Groups at Deerfoot ADK
All age groups eat together, spend free time together and participate in all-camp games. Hikes, cabin groups, and instructional areas are arranged according to the following age groupings:
Woodsmen
Woodsmen (ages 9-12) live in the cabins closest to main camp with easy access to the waterfront, health center, and dining hall.
Pioneers
Pioneers (ages 13-14) live in cabins on Pioneer Point, the best place at Deerfoot to see a sunset.
Islanders
Among other highlights, Islanders (ages 15-16) live on an Island, stay in teepees, and can participate in 3-day High Peaks hikes.
Voyagers
Voyagers (ages 16-17) participate in a special trip-based program, embarking on 10-day trips on either the Allagash River or the High Peaks.
2024 STANDARD SESSION FEES
Registration Fee: $400
Camp Fee: $1680
Total Camper Fee: $2080
Deerfoot’s camper fee covers 75% of the cost of operations. The difference comes from generous donors who contribute to help make the camper fee more manageable.
Camper families who need additional scholarship help in order to come to camp, are invited to reach out to the camp director. We maintain donor funded camper scholarship funds to help where needs exist.
Do you want to help make camp available to campers who cannot afford the camp fee? Contribute to the General Fund or/and Camper Scholarships here. Contributions to Deerfoot are tax-deductible. For more information about supporting Deerfoot, visit our contributions page.
Allagash Voyager Trip
Additional $300 Fee
(DL-ADK only) Special $300 river use fee in addition to Total Camp Cost.
